Reaction hooks in app ads
What reaction hooks are
Reaction hooks open on someone responding to something, whether surprise, disbelief or delight, before showing what caused it. The emotion makes the viewer want to see the cause.
In the Adlist library, ads with a reaction hook typically run about 15 seconds, and 52% finish their hook within the first three seconds. They’re most often shot as UGC, green screen and screen recording videos. They show up most for Health and Fitness, Lifestyle and Education apps.
