Storytime hooks in app ads
What storytime hooks are
Storytime hooks start a personal story, often with a cliffhanger line, and let the app enter as part of the plot. Viewers stay to hear how it ends.
In the Adlist library, ads with a storytime hook typically run about 35 seconds, and 57% finish their hook within the first three seconds. They’re most often shot as UGC, talking head and green screen videos. They show up most for Lifestyle, Education and Photo and Video apps.
