Tutorial hooks in app ads
What tutorial hooks are
Tutorial hooks promise to teach something right away, often “how to” a task the app makes easy. Viewers stay because the payoff is a skill, and the app arrives as the tool.
In the Adlist library, ads with a tutorial hook typically run about 23 seconds, and 77% finish their hook within the first three seconds. They’re most often shot as screen recording, UGC and talking head videos. They show up most for Education, Photo and Video and Health and Fitness apps.
