Testimonial hooks in app ads
What testimonial hooks are
Testimonial hooks open with a user describing their own result in their own words. They work as social proof, especially when the result is specific.
In the Adlist library, ads with a testimonial hook typically run about 53 seconds, and 53% finish their hook within the first three seconds. They’re most often shot as talking head, UGC and motion graphics videos. They show up most for Lifestyle, Health and Fitness and Social apps.
